WHY PATTERN CUT
No Blades Ever Touch Your Paint
Film can be cut 2 ways. Some shops lay a sheet over the panel and trim it with a blade on the car, which is faster and cheaper and puts a blade against your clear coat. We cut every kit to your exact year, make and model before it goes anywhere near the vehicle.
That means edges land where the panel edge actually is, and they get wrapped underneath rather than stopping short on the visible face. No cut lines in your paint, no lifted edges collecting dirt through the winter, and clean removal years later when you want it off.
Aftercare
Keeping It Protected
Film does the hard work but it still needs basic care, especially through an Ontario winter when salt sits in the panel gaps. Give it 7 days to fully bond before the first wash, then follow the 3 rules below and the film will look the same in year 5 as it does in week 1.

Wash
Two bucket hand wash or touchless. Automatic brushes catch edges and lift them.

HEAT
Light scratches self heal in sunlight or with warm water. Deeper marks need us.

EDGES
Don’t pressure wash directly into an edge. Keep the nozzle back and angled.

HOW LONG DOES PAINT PROTECTION FILM LAST?
Our film carries a 10 year warranty, and on a car that is washed properly it holds up for that. What kills film early is neglect rather than age, mainly automatic car washes catching the edges and pressure washers aimed straight into them.
DOES PPF YELLOW OVER TIME?
Modern urethane film does not yellow the way older films did. The top coat is UV stable, so the film ages at roughly the same rate as the paint underneath it. If anything does discolour inside the warranty period, bring it back.
WILL PPF DAMAGE MY PAINT WHEN IT COMES OFF?
No, provided the paint is sound underneath. We remove film with heat rather than blades and the factory paint comes away clean. Panels that have already been resprayed badly or where the clear coat is lifting can come away with the film, so we inspect and tell you before we start.
CAN I PUT CERAMIC COATING OVER THE FILM?
Yes, and most Platinum customers do. Ceramic coating over film makes the surface slicker and much easier to wash, and it keeps the film itself cleaner. We coat the film and the uncovered panels in the same visit so the whole car behaves the same way.
CAN YOU FILM A CAR THAT ALREADY HAS CHIPS?
We can, but film seals in whatever is under it. If the chips are already showing primer or rust we deal with that first, either with touch up or a proper repair. On a heavily chipped front end, correction before film is money well spent.
HOW LONG WILL MY CAR BE IN THE SHOP?
Silver is usually 1 day. Gold runs 1 to 2, Ruby 2 and Platinum around 3. Film needs to sit before the car goes out in the wet, so we do not rush the handover just to clear a bay.
