WHY THE WIRING MATTERS

The Lights Are Easy The Wiring Is Not

Anyone can stick a strip under a car. The problems come later. Wiring zip tied to a suspension arm chafes through and shorts. An unfused run straight off the battery is a fire waiting for a bad ground. Adhesive strips fitted to a dirty sill let go on the first cold morning.

We fuse at the source, run every line through existing looms and channels away from heat and moving parts, and prep the mounting surfaces properly before anything is fitted. The controller is mounted where you can reach it and the whole system is tested before the car leaves the bay.

Aftercare

Keeping It Working

Underbody strips live in the worst place on the car, taking road salt, slush and stone all winter. The strips we fit are sealed for it, but the mounting adhesive and the connectors still benefit from basic care. Follow the 3 rules below and the system keeps working through Ontario winters.

01

WASH

Don’t aim a pressure washer directly at a strip or a connector. Keep the nozzle back.

02

WINTER

Rinse the underbody after salted roads. Salt sits on connectors and corrodes them.

03

ISSUES

A zone flickering or dropping out means a connection. Bring it in, don’t pull at it.

IS UNDER GLOW LEGAL IN ONTARIO?

The rules are specific. Red and blue lights facing forward are not permitted because they imitate emergency vehicles, and flashing or rotating lights are not allowed on a moving vehicle. Plenty of drivers run underglow at shows and meets and keep it off on the road. We install the system and set it up so you can control exactly what is on and when, and we will walk you through the rules before you book.

Not in normal use. LED strips draw very little current and we wire them through an ignition source so they cannot be left on with the car off. Running a full setup at a show for hours with the engine off is the one situation where you would notice it.

A properly fused and correctly routed install should not affect your factory warranty, because nothing is cut into the vehicle’s existing wiring. Badly done electrical work absolutely can. If the car is leased or under a strict warranty, tell us when you book and we will keep the install fully reversible.

Through an app on your phone over Bluetooth. You get colour, brightness, patterns and, on a full setup, independent control of each zone. The controller is mounted somewhere accessible in case you ever need to reset it.

The underbody strips we fit are sealed and rated for it, and we mount them where they are shielded from direct stone strike rather than hanging exposed. Salt on connectors is what causes most failures, so rinsing the underbody through winter matters more than the strips themselves.

Usually yes. Bring it in and we will look at it first. Some cheap kits have connectors and adhesive that we would not put on a customer’s car, and we would rather tell you that upfront than install something that fails in 3 months.
