SUSPENSION WORK
Suspension Work in North York
We replace worn struts, shocks, springs, bushings and control arms, install coilovers and lowering kits, and put every car on the alignment rack before it leaves. Ontario roads destroy suspension faster than most people expect, and worn components ruin tires and handling long before they fail outright. Repairs start at $299.

NEED TO KNOW
What Is Your Suspension Doing?
Worn suspension gives plenty of warning and most people ignore it until the tires are ruined. Match what you are hearing or feeling below.
- Knocking over bumps — bushings or links
- Car keeps bouncing after a bump — struts or shocks
- Tires wearing on one edge — alignment
- Steering pulls to one side — alignment
- Car sits lower on one corner — spring
- Want it lowered properly — coilovers

WHY ALIGNMENT MATTERS
Suspension Work Without Alignment Is Half a Job
Replacing a strut, a spring or a control arm changes the geometry of the corner it sits in. Camber and toe shift, and the car goes back on the road pulling slightly and scrubbing the inside edge of a tire every kilometre. Within a few months you are buying tires that should have lasted years.
Every suspension job here goes on the alignment rack before it leaves, and alignment is included rather than quoted as an extra at the end. You get the before and after readings printed, so you can see what the geometry was and what it is now. A shop that sends a car out after suspension work without aligning it has left the job unfinished.
Aftercare
After the Work
New suspension components settle over the first few hundred kilometres as bushings compress and springs take a set. That is normal, and on lowered cars it usually means the ride height drops slightly. Follow the 3 rules below and bring the car back for a check once it has settled.
01
FIRST 200KM
Drive normally but avoid hard hits. Bushings and mounts need to seat.
02
RE-CHECK
Come back after settling for a free alignment re-check. Ride height moves.
03
TIRES
Check tire wear monthly. Uneven wear is the first sign alignment has shifted.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY SUSPENSION IS WORN?
The common signs are knocking or clunking over bumps, the car continuing to bounce after a dip rather than settling, uneven tire wear, and steering that feels vague or pulls. Worn suspension rarely fails suddenly, it degrades, which is why most people only notice how bad it was after it is fixed.
DO I NEED AN ALIGNMENT AFTER SUSPENSION WORK?
Yes, every time. Replacing struts, springs, control arms or bushings changes the geometry of that corner, and driving on it unaligned scrubs the tires and pulls the steering. We include the alignment with every suspension job rather than charging it as an extra.
CAN YOU INSTALL COILOVERS AND LOWERING KITS?
Yes. We fit coilovers and lowering springs, set them to the ride height you want, and align the car afterwards. Going very low brings tradeoffs with camber wear, ground clearance and how the car behaves on GTA potholes, and we will walk you through that honestly before you commit.
HOW LONG DOES SUSPENSION WORK TAKE?
Struts, shocks and bushings on one axle are usually same day. A full coilover install with alignment runs about a day. Seized or corroded bolts on older vehicles add time, which is common on cars that have seen a few Ontario winters.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET AN ALIGNMENT?
Once a year for most drivers, or any time you hit a serious pothole, replace tires, or notice the car pulling. GTA roads after winter are brutal on alignment, so spring is the sensible time to book one.
WILL WORN SUSPENSION RUIN MY TIRES?
Yes, and it is usually the most expensive part of ignoring it. Worn bushings and bad geometry scrub the inside or outside edge of a tire until the belts show, and a set of tires costs more than the repair would have. If your tires are wearing unevenly, the suspension is the place to look.
